I had 10 minutes to kill on my lunch break and I just had this feeling, like one might get right before pulling the handle of a slot machine in old Vegas and then winning $500. You can’t resist that feeling, because you know good things lie ahead. So I stopped in my fav little thrift shop in Pioneer Square. I browsed no more than 2 racks before finding this gem of a sweater! I didn’t even try it on. I just snatched it from the rack and went straight to the cash register. I used to watch Laurel and Hardy as a kid. You can’t beat good clean humor in black and white. And you sure as hell can’t beat a vintage sweater with carpeted applique.

Featured Thrift Shop
This is the second time I’ve featured Pioneer Thrift, and it won’t be the last. Pioneer Thrift is located in Pioneer Square, Seattle. They’ve got a really great selection of clothing and at good prices. All proceeds benefit Downtown Emergency Service Center (DESC) who provide shelter to over 7,000 homeless men and women annually. They are a vital part of helping the most vulnerable members of our community so you can feel good about spending your money on some new-to-you finds. Pro Tip: Pioneer Thrift does not have a dressing room, so if your shopping for clothes be sure to wear something you can try clothing on over/under.
